Fullstack developper (consultant) Java Hadoop/HDF environment

Summary of Tasks

Based on a Publish/Subscribe architecture model based on Hadoop/HDF environment, the Full Stack Developer will function as part of development team delivering end to end functionality.

Key tasks are:

• Lead and develop the data ingestion processes as defined by the architect • Develop the frameworks that will be used by multiple teams and applications • Ensure our frameworks follows best practice for process and technology • Strong Problem Solving, Java, Hadoop experience a plus • Can support and foster agile delivery method among the team participants • Ensure that deliverables meet the requirements and the targeted architecture • Contribute to the development when required and also assigns and monitor tasks to lower level software

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor degree in science, engineering, or computer science • A master degree in science is a definite asset • At least 8 year of Strong Java development background in large scale project • Minimum of 5 years of experience in coding in a data management, data warehousing and or unstructured data environments • 5 years of more experience in agile development (Scrum, Kanban, XP...) • 5 years of experience with SQL databases • Knowledge of EAI tools like Apache Mule or Camel is an asset • Strong work ethic, demonstrated self-starter, ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment • Even if the local work environment is bilingual, we are working with a significant portion of our team in the USA so that good written and spoken english skills are mandatory • The consultant is expected to be full time on site at CN for the duration of the mandate
