Project Manager/Infrastucture/Integrator/ ( 6 months contract position)( Rive sud)

Integrator

We are looking for an Integrator to achieve a mandate with one of its client on the South Shore of Montreal.

The responsibilities are:

  • Communication :

  • For IS integrator role, communication style must be in a manner that fosters clear and open exchange of ideas and information. Put others at ease to speak their mind;

  • Project teams are typically diverse and geographically spread out in Ontario and Quebec. Effective communication is key to assembling the team and ensuring they are working as a unit;

  • Ability to act as ‘IS BA’ role, to derive infrastructure requirements from business and software engineering leads, as well as architects and project managers. Articulate in technical and business terms, sensitive to audience.

  • Relationship Management :

  • Ability to form high performance working relationships with SMEs, colleagues, project owners and sponsors;

  • Ongoing mentoring to assist information transfer, learning and development of more junior members;

  • Create, maintain "playbook" for team members to follow;

  • Periodic check-ins for team members;

  • Periodic communications with ongoing information exchange for team, sponsors, stakeholders;

  • Trusted advisor to project sponsor.

  • Broad spectrum of technical skills :

  • Ability to understand and converse with a multi-disciplinary group of technical specialists in their own language;

  • Ability to recognise and appreciate the technologies in use in the organization, emerging technologies in the industry, and the implications of including and integrating them within a given solution;

  • Ability to assemble a diverse cross-departmental team of technicians, developers, and business people, and lead them in solving complex problems.

  • Organisational skills and Time Management :

  • Successfully manage a large number of diverse tasks related to many different technologies and departments;

  • Assist PM in deriving and defining the tasks needed for accomplishing each project milestone;

  • Manage logistics of change across complex shared services impacting many business areas.

  • Ownership and Leadership :

  • Represent Infrastructure Services responsibilities and interests to the project/program;

  • Needs to be an inspiration for the SME's. Lead by example, foster trust, demonstrate ownership and commitment;

  • Lead the team in troubleshooting efforts;

  • Make sure the team has what they need in order to succeed. If someone needs something, don’t pass the buck or drop the ball. OWN it;

  • Manage project and program sponsor / customer expectations. Translate requests and requirements into technical terms, understanding and communicating the high level implications.

The required skills and competencies are:

  • Experience and knowledge of this technological environment : AIX, VMware, Websphere, Tomcat, Weblogic, JBoss, Oracle, MS SQL, Linux, Windows, Virtualisation, SAN, Cloud;

  • Knowledgable in : DevOps, Agile, Automation, OAT, DRP, Networking, Security, Storage, Backup&Recovery, Monitoring.
